30gr of Fio Naturalmente Colorido (Da Fazenda, 100% wool, 100gr, 91m, cor Moura)
A pair of knitting needles 5,5mm
Crochet needles (for finishing).
2 buttons.

k2tog = knit 2 together
k2tog+1 = knit 2 together; don’t drop the st; then knit again the first st. (this is not a decrease because you end with 2sts in your needles)

Notes
* The headband is a little shorter than head circunference. The whole circle is completed with the buttonholes, made in crochet chain. If you prefer convencional buttonholes, make the headband longer.
* I recomend block you headband when you finish.
Directions
Cast on 14sts.
row 1.: k.
row 2.: k.
rows 3, 5 and 7.: k.
rows 4, 6 and 8.: k2, p10, k2.
From now on, work the lace pattern:
row 1.: k4, k2tog, yo, k2tog+1, yo, ssk, k4.
row 2.: k2, p10, k2.
row 3.: k3, k2tog, yo, k4, yo, ssk, k3.
row 4.: k2, p10, k2.
row 5,: k2, k2tog, yo, k1, k2tog, YO twice, ssk, k1, yo, ssk, k2.
row 6.: k2, p4, kf&b (into the the double YO), p4, k2.
row 7.: k4, yo, ssk, k2, k2tog, yo, k4.
row 8.: k2, p10, k2.
row 9.: k5, yo, ssk, k2tog, yo, k5.
row 10.: k2, p10, k2.
Repeat rows 1-10 until desired length. For a headband like seen in the picture, it was repeated 7 times.
Then, do:
rows 1, 3 and 5 (RS).: k
rows 2, 4 and 6.: k2, p10, k2.
row 7.: k.
row 8.: k.
Bind off.
Finishing
Make the buttonholes in crochet. Weave ends.
Block firmly, stretching only at both sides of your headband.
